Overview

Ever wanted to buy things from YesAsia, eBay, Play-Asia, J!NX, J-XYZ, PlaJapan or any other online merchant that accepts PayPal or credit cards as payment methods, but you just don't have a credit card/PayPal account/bank card or they don't ship to your country?

I know how it feels to not be able to purchase things just because you aren't old enough to have your own bank account or your parents won't let you use their credit card even if you give them the cash. And so, MinarinShop acts as a bridge to help you get the things you want despite the barriers.

How Does This Work?

It's simple! You want to make an order with an online merchant who only accepts credit cards or PayPal, but you don't even have a bank account! Or maybe the seller will not ship to your country. All you have to do is place an order with MinarinShop, mail your payment and the rest is taken care of for you.

Ordering through MinarinShop is not complicated. I communicate via e-mails (or instant messaging if that is preferred) whenever I get a message from the merchant (notification of shipped item, changes to order, etcetera), so should there be a problem, you will be notified right away.

Where Do I Place My Order?

Please use this order form (if it does not work for any reason, please use this as an alternative).

I do not accept orders by e-mail or instant message. However, you may change/cancel your order by e-mailing me.

Do not submit a new order if you want to cancel or make changes to a pre-existing order.

IMPORTANT: You ABSOLUTELY cannot cancel or change an order once I have placed the order with the merchant UNLESS I can cancel or change it with them. Please make sure you truly want what you have ordered and have provided accurate information.

What Do I Need To Know About Sending Payment?

I accept payment by well-conclealed cash (no coins), international money orders payable to Emma Sinare, and PayPal. I may accept other forms of payment (CertaPay, bank wire transfer, check). Please inquire about these services as they may be expensive and/or take a long time to process.

CASH/MONEY ORDERS

If you are paying by cash, you must send it WELL CONCEALED (to protect yourself from having it stolen). Please do not send coins! When your order is calculated, it is always rounded up. For example, if your total is $18.83, it would automatically be rounded up to $19.

Please note that all payments are sent at your own risk. For maximum protection with concealed cash/money orders, you may consider sending it using Registered Mail (more details).

I recommend mailing a money order available from post offices or banks, but this is up to you. Money orders are similar to checks, but you pay for it straight away instead of it being withdrawn from a bank account.

If you live in Canada, you can send a regular money order. All other countries must send an international money order.

Processing time

It's very fast, but all depends on mail time. Here is an example:

You place your order and mail the payment. It took 5 days until it was received on my end.

Once payment has been received, I will then verify that the payment is legit and then immediately purchase the items. The rest of the waiting time depends on the merchant and the shipping method you selected. If the items are being shipped to me, I have to wait to receive it and then ship it to you. Items are never shipped to me first unless that is your request.

PAYPAL

You send me a payment to my PayPal account and then I purchase the item for you immediately. This method is useful if the merchant will not ship to your country.

Processing time

This purely depends on the the merchant and shipping time as PayPal payments are instant. However, if you are sending an eCheck, I must wait until the funds have cleared (usually between 6-8 business days).

In What Currency Should I Send Payment?

I charge in USD (United States Dollars). Do not send payment in any other currency unless your situation is one of the exceptions or special arrangements have been made. The two exceptions are as follows:

1. If the seller accepts CAD (Canadian Dollars), you may send payment in CAD.

2. If the seller accepts EUR (Euros), you may send payment in EUR.
NOTE: An additional $5 CAD (€3.40) must be charged in order to cover the bank's currency conversion fee, which is out of my control.

How Much Do You Charge?

I consider trades upon request of a client. If you have something that I may like (my LJ userinfo), feel free to offer it instead of paying the service fee!

To facilitate the service, MinarinShop uses fixed rates based on the order total.

Fixed rates:

For example:

You buy 3 CDs for $40 each.
$40+$40+$40 = $120
+ Shipping ($10) = 130$

I charge for the entire total of the order ($130).

TOTAL AMOUNT DUE: $145 USD (with service charge)

If paying via PayPal, I must use their currency conversion rate (approximately 2.5% above the raw exchange rate) plus any PayPal fees. PPCalc is used to estimate the fees. These fees are not very much, but must be taken into account.

Situation 1: You want to buy a CD for $50 USD (including shipping) from a store that only accepts credit card payments. The service fee is then added and your total amount due is $60 USD (always round up).

Situation 2: You want to buy that same CD for $50 USD (including shipping), but this time you want to pay via PayPal. You live in the United States. Assume the total is still $60. According to PPCalc, in order for me to receive $60, you must actually send $62.10 USD.

How Does The Shipping Work?

There are 2 options:

Your payment -> Me -> Store -> Goods to You

Your payment -> Me -> Store -> Goods to Me -> Goods to You

Either is fine, but in the second option, you will have to pay for it to be shipped to me and to be shipped to you. It's more costly and takes longer.

How Do I Know You're Not A SCAMMER?!?

Well, I'm not. It is the Internet, so it is impossible to know 100% if I am a scammer or not. MinarinShop is relatively new and is growing and changing constantly, but I have bought things for people many times and I have bought from people in lots of communities on LiveJournal and from sellers on eBay. I have 100% positive feedback for MinarinShop and also for eBay. Everyone has to start somewhere. If you feel nervous or worried, you can read my personal LiveJournal [info]minarin to get to know me and see what I'm like. I know this is a big reason why people don't want to buy things from strangers from the Internet, but I want to assure you that I am NOT trying to scam you. There are lots of bad people in this world. There are also lots of good ones. To see if I am a scammer and you still don't trust me, you can always check out the community Report Them.

For extreme protection, you can mail your payment via Registered Mail. This will provide you with proof of delivery/mailing and the receiver must sign it, indicating it has been received. However, please note that Registered Mail is not free. Please consult the table below for an estimate and check with your post office.
